I have been focused on trauma-informed therapy since my first position after graduating from Denver Seminary. Throughout my career, I have been researching, attending seminars and workshops, and learning multiple approaches to healing trauma from the leading doctors, researchers, and practitioners in this field.
Throughout this time, I have also been discouraged by the polarized stances between clinically-therapeutic approaches to healing that minimize or discredit spiritual and Christian approaches. Both seem to intentionally exclude the other. I see this as tragic for survivors seeking to overcome trauma.
As a follower of Jesus, I believe that there is a divine power that needs to be a critical part of our healing journey's. The invitation to include the Holy Spirit with well-established clinical procedures amplifies the potential for releasing and resolving our trauma histories. Including the best of clinical and Christian practices into The Senseless Peace Project has been a vision for many years. I am thrilled to be a part of this process and excited to see Christian and spiritually-focused trauma survivors be able to include their faith in practical ways as they walk through their healing.
If that's you, please review our site and take advantage of the free introductory course on trauma to see if our approach is what you've been looking for. If so, the full course with a caring and trained therapist may be your next step. We look forward to hearing from and walking alongside you.

Before becoming a spiritual director through Sustainable Faith, I journeyed with missionaries, special needs students, and at-risk adults in my career and volunteering. My heart is for those particularly on ‘the fringes’ to know and embrace the tender love of the Beloved. I have been miraculously healed of various medical calamities shaping my faith and ideas of the Divine.
I continue to grow into a gentle, welcoming soul with a joyfully creative and child-like spirit primarily through spiritual practices. One of my favorite things is walking with those who long to know Abba’s immense love, beauty and grace more completely. Listening is a cherished honor and I long to do it with compassion and empathy.
My husband, Kenny, a licensed counselor specializing in trauma, and I live in Colorado. Together we have led worship and small groups and participated in prayer ministries in various church and ministry settings throughout our 25+ year marriage. I am blessed with 3 amazing step sons, 2 beautiful daughters-in-law and 2 grandchildren. I enjoy spending time in God’s creation, time with others, reading, singing, painting and dancing!
Kenny and I started Senseless Peace to assist trauma survivors and those who work with survivors to find peace through trauma-informed therapy and spiritual praxis.
