Finding Peace that Transcends Understanding
Walking Alongside You on Your Journey
What We Do
Find Peace that Transcends Understanding
The Senseless Peace Project
Our 12-week preparation and processing course focused on healing trauma and restoring peace. Designed to be a comprehensive clinical and spiritual approach to healing trauma, you may want to think about our course as a book with experiential practices woven throughout the sections to prepare you in practical ways for releasing trauma and finding peace.
The course draws from several therapy healing approaches including Narrative Exposure Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Brainspotting, and EMDR.
It is largely influenced by the leading experts in trauma and healing such as Bessel van der Kolk, Peter Levine, Francine Shapiro, David Grand, Robert Scaer, Dan Siegel, and other leading research and practice professionals in the fields of trauma, interpersonal neurobiology, dissociation and attachment theories.
We offer online and in-office therapy sessions in conjunction with The Senseless Peace Project trauma course and separately. We are trained in Brainspotting and EMDR with many years of experience helping clients process and resolve the impact of trauma.
Our goal is to journey with you to create greater mindfulness, a fuller presence of peace and to be more aware more of the love of the Divine especially in the healing process.
We offer online and in-office Spiritual Direction sessions in conjunction with The Senseless Peace Project trauma course and separately. We are certified through the Sustainable Faith's School of Spiritual Direction.
Respite and Restoration for Those Who Care for Others
We offer retreats with worship, biblical exploration, and spiritual direction in group and individual settings. These times are specifically tailored for those in professional, pastoral, parenting, and volunteer caregiving roles. Check back for updates on upcoming retreats. Contact us if you would like more information or would like to schedule a retreat for your staff.
We have been training professional and lay counselors and pastors through workshops and retreats in Sierra Leone since 2013. Our desire is to continue to travel 1-2 times per year to continue to partner with many of the free counseling centers in Freetown and throughout the country as well as other areas in the world impacted by chronic and acute trauma. Profits from The Senseless Peace Project will go towards funding future trainings.
If you would like information on our future trips to Salone (Sierra Leone) and elsewhere, please sign up for our updates below.
If you are an organization partnering with other indigenous relief and aid agencies in developing nations, and are interested in the possibility of working together, please contact us. We would love the opportunity to hear about what you are doing and explore opportunities for working together.
